Everyone has that one celebrity who they think is stellar. Back in the younger days before the internet was huge such as 1999, it didn't cause a riot if you liked Britney Spears more than Christina Aquerlia or N*Sync more than Backstreet boys but now in this day and age, its a battlefield. You see it everyday from comments on blogs and facebook status to even comments we hear the celebs say on TV. Its as if who we like defines us.
For example, somehow on almost every single post on perez hilton's website, lady gaga gets mention when Perez didn't even bring her up in the conversation being bashed, called phony, by fans of that artist whether it be Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, or even Christina. A post about bieber and fans of other artists who dislike bieber slam on him and perez and such. The question is why do we do it?
Talking to my friends even I notice it. They all have some one who they think is the best and if you don't disagree, then you are stupid. Even I have noticed I do it when people rip on artists such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and etc., I get so defensive of them its crazy. Most of them we don't know them personally yet with twitter, facebook, and such where we can feel as if we know them, and the large amount of concerts and meet and greets the artist do, we make ourselves feel as if there is a bond between us.
Almost everyone out there in the music industry is talented; whether it be looks, vocal ability, sex appeal, or pure luck, they all made it. Why can we not accept that and not make a war out of it whether we like someone or not but have to make it a competition of who is better.
I want everyone to look back and remember Pop legend Michael Jackson who wouldn't even perform his concert here in the US due to many people's treatment of him. He died and then people realized how much they loved his music when they really didn't want to admit it. We are doing that now, when we insult someone whose song we will probably miss the future. When we realized that the artist really was talented, when we realized that we made everything more complicated than it shouldve been. People, this is our music, and we must have a truce before our music fails us.

On Valentine's Day, Rapper Lil' Kim dropped her mix tape Black Friday which sounds like a Rip off of Nicki MInaj's Pink Friday Album. For awhile the two artists have been feuding mainly because Lil Kim says Nikki stole her style and it trying to be her. Is that true? Probably not. Lil Kim if that was true why did you take one of Nicki's song trying to make it your own and ruin it like this song which Nicki on her Pink Friday Album called "Did it on 'em". This is Little Kim's.

Beyonce Coming out with an album this year too!!!
It looks like this year is the year of the Diva. With Britney coming out with an album and Lady Gaga its no surprise that Beyonce is as well. According to Perez Hilton.com, the beautiful and talented singer of hits such as If I were a boy, Single Ladies, and Irreplacable is putting final touchs to her album at the moment. Though the release date is unknown it is going to be quite an exciting year in pop music!
Bieber Fever!!! Epidemic or Hot Flash???
Right now a 16 year boy who is about to turn 17 on March 8, is causing a storm not only in the US but across the world. Many girls love him and want to be his baby. With him, they think they will be one less lonely girl for he is looking for somebody to love. He isn't American, he wasn't born to famous parents, and grew up in the a small town in Canada. His name is Justin Bieber and he created a raging fever across the world.
Justin Bieber got on the scene with videos on Youtube when his mom filmed him singing R&B songs such as Brian Mcknight and Usher. Lucky for him a producer was watching and he got signed to work under Usher. Usher promoted him and his first single "One Time" was released. The girls started to fall in love and many guys eithered felt jealous, also fell in love, or just didnt care. He released his second single, One less lonely girl which made many girls heart melt like crazy and thats when Justin Bieber became a superstar.
He was an opening act for Taylor Swift in her European section of the tour but unfortunately he broke his arm. Back in the states he colloborated with Ludacris and created his top song, the song that got him the most attention and the most viewed video on youtube. He sang "Baby Baby Baby oh" and many people jizzed in their pants. The song was epic. It was bieber's breaking out shell. Everyone from moms to dads to the hobos on the street wanted to know who this guy or to some "girl" was. Girls started to leave their obsession of the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, and such and just focused on Bieber. His boyish charm, his high voice, his short stature, and his hair got him a huge boost on twitter. People started buying his album like crazy and people also started hating him. People would insult him constantly on his youth and his voice.
He kept going though he started to appear at awards show where some he would win others he lost and now he won a brit for international breakout act. Be sure to buy a copy of his rolling stone story and remember bieber fever exists!
Lady Gaga-Fraud with luck or Utter Genius
Within 3 years, Lady Gaga has become what some people might consider a god, a legend, a royal in the music industry. From her crazy provocative performance to her stances on political issues. Lady gaga has definitely has become a household name but the question that has to be act is this all for show or was she really born this way?
I unfortunately may contain some bias since I have been a fan of hers since I first heard "Just Dance" her first single featuring Colby O'Donis. However I do see what others feel about the artist. The Queen of Eccentric after her single PokerFace come out decided to use crazy fashion to keep her name going. She samples music from other artists of the past and her "little monsters" consider it amazing and revolutionary. One thing that must be said is though people do indeed make those comments her music videos are epic like those of past artists such as Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Her most recent single "Born This Way" has been receiving a lot of attention. Ms. Gaga has had an interview almost every single day since the single was released. It has been #1 across the world and has became 1000th #1 song on the Billboard charts, and 19th song to debut at number 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Though some people think that Lady Gaga totally should be sued by Madonna for stealing all of her songs on her "Like a prayer album" and putting them into a song with the rap section of Vogue. However many critics praised the song for totally creating a new sound unlike her old stuff. Is it Lady Gaga's best song...to some yes...to me and others no but I will say Lady Gaga isnt going away any time soon!
